Art Market features high quality and unique collections of art

A new addition to the Chelsea Sounds & Sights Festival this year is the Art Market, located on South Street. The Art Market features 20 juried artists from areas spanning Chelsea to Ann Arbor to Kalamazoo to Ohio and more. These artists represent a wide array of carefully selected mediums to give the Art Market variety and to provide visitors the opportunity to experience the many mediums that encompass the art world.

Mediums include forms such as oil, jewelry, watercolor, acrylics, glass, collage, woodwork, fabric art, clay and more. This combination of artists will create an Art Market high in quality with a unique collection of art for festival guests who, among others, have requested this element be added to the 35th annual festival.

Artist Demonstrations throughout downtown Chelsea

Artist Demonstrations will be back this year, featuring 9 juried artists demonstrating their art or craft in front of various downtown Chelsea businesses. A variety of mediums are also represented here including fiber art, blacksmithing, oils, woodwork, acrylics and more. These artists and craftsmen and women will provide an interactive element for the festival, both showing and describing to guests how their work is created. This work will also be available for sale.

The Art Market and Artist Demonstrations will take place from 10am to 6pm on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30.
