Art Market features high quality and unique collections of art
After a successful debut in 2011, the Chelsea Sounds & Sights Festival Art Market, is back this year in an expanded location on Middle Street. The Art Market features juried artists from areas spanning the state of Michigan and beyond as well as artists who represent a wide array of carefully selected mediums to give the Art Market variety and to provide visitors the opportunity to experience the many mediums that encompass the art world.
Mediums include forms such as oil, jewelry, watercolor, acrylics, glass, collage, woodwork, fabric art, clay and more. This combination of artists will create an Art Market high in quality with a unique collection of art for festival guests who, among others, have requested this continue to have a presence at this annual festival.
Artist Demonstrations throughout downtown Chelsea
will be back this year, featuring juried artists demonstrating their art or craft in front of various downtown Chelsea businesses. These artists and craftsmen and women will provide an interactive element for the festival, both showing and describing to guests how their work is created. This work will also be available for sale.
The Art Market and Artist Demonstrations will take place from 12pm to 8pm on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28.
