SATURDAY

  • Garden Mill:  Jan Sevde (Honeybee Products) Handmade soaps, lotions, and candles. Demo, and information on bee-keeping.
  • LaJolla Fine Jewelry:Gold Snowflakes in the Summer – Like snowflakes, no two nuggets are exactly the same. We are proud to have the opportunity to make beautiful gold nuggets for anyone who wishes to bring in their old gold and watch as we transform it into a unique golden nugget.
  • Golden Apple: Pearl Stringing Demonstration.
  • Mission Market Place: Fair Trade Trunk Show next door at 115 South Main Street. Beautiful handmade clothing and jewelry from Ecuador, India, Uganda and South Africa, as well as pottery from Nicaragua and Tie Dyed clothing for the family. Sample fair trade coffees and see how chocolate is transformed from raw cocoa nibs into the delectable treat we all know and love. Live music, Henna artist, and demonstration of making ‘wallpaper beads’.
  • C.S. Hearing: Free hearing tests. Harmony Hollow Bells – Collectible wind chimes. Musical Demonstrations.
  • Common Grill: Mary Underwood. Front Porch Textiles: Specializing in hand spun and custom made yarns. Artist will demonstrate spinning and table top loom technique.
  • East Middle Street:  Leona Webb, Classic and Antique Car Photography.
  • Merkel Furniture & Flooring: Brittany Broas – Weaver, Jewelry. Floor loom demonstration, weaving techniques and rug making.
  • River Gallery: Laurel Gravelyn, Hoola Jewelry, “A new concept in designing your own jewelry. Interchangable pieces allow you to build a personal jewelry wardrobe. “Pop up exhibition” at the gallery featuring: Janet Alford, Sue Craig, Rose Bradley and Sally Wetzel. Each artist will be doing a watercolor demo in front of the gallery. There will also be artwork on display in the gallery.
  • River Gallery: Sue Moran – Textile Artist. Aprons Rediscovered – Demonstrations of hand made aprons using original and vintage textiles.
  • Old Post Office:Theresa Ward – Potpourri Lady USA. Decorative and natural botanicals.
  • Vogel’s & Foster’s: Michelle Massey Barnes – Portrait Photography. Francie Wesorick – Portrait artist and illustrator, graphite and colored pencil demonstration.
  • Winans Jewelry: Margo West – Hand made ceramics, one-of-a-kind hand made purses.
  • Chelsea Village Flowers: Marsi Darwin – Darwin’s Studio, Chelsea. Stained and Etched Glass. Demonstration, copper foil technique.

  • Clocktower Front Parking Lot: John Rayer, Blacksmith. Live “smithing demonstrations”.
  • Palmer Parking Lot: Washtenaw RC Raceway – Remote Control Car Racing. $5 fee to race. Michigan’s largest Electric Off Road Race Track. (Main St. across from Library)
  • Historic Home Walking Tours: The Chelsea Area Historical Society will conduct historical home walking tours during the Festival. The route includes stops along the Jackson Street corridor, East and E. Middle streets and feature pioneer and Victorian homes and businesses in the hub of early Chelsea. Tours will depart from the Depot on Jackson Street. No reservations are required. The tours are free and open to the public.
  • Chelsea District Library: Chelsea District Library presents Cirque Amongus on the Library Lawn. Registration required please – open to ages6-12, plus families. Watch a 45 minute live circus show with juggling, magic, acrobatics, comedy, and unicycles! Then take part in 10 individual stations on the library lawn, where you can learn how to juggle, walk a tightrope, ride a “fun bike,” walk on stilts, do some acrobatics, and even try a trapeze, plus much more.
