Holiday Light Parade

The Annual Holiday Light Parade takes place on Saturday evening during Hometown Holiday weekend, and has the town glowing with the spirit of the season. The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce invites you, your friends, acquaintances, neighbors, family, etc., to join in the parade this year.

If you are interested in participating in this year’s Light Parade, please contact the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. All parade entries (floats, walkers, cars, etc.) are asked to comply with the rules and regulations. The application may be mailed to:

Chelsea Chamber of Commerce
310 N. Main St., Suite 120,
Chelsea, MI 48118

Or faxed to 734-475-6102

Parade Staging Area – We ask all participants to be at the staging area (Chelsea State Bank – Main Branch) no later than 4:30pm on the day of the parade. The parade will start at 6:00 pm and travel down Main Street (M-52) until it reaches the paved parking lot at the Chelsea Teddy Bear Co. (just past the Clocktower Complex). There will be someone there to direct you as to where to park your floats, etc.

Entertainment – Please join us after the parade for refreshments, treats and entertainment at the Chelsea Teddy Bear Co.

We appreciate your help in making this a safe and happy Lighted Parade and Hometown Holiday weekend in Chelsea!

Giving Back to Our Community

We would like to invite you to participate in our “Giving Back to Our Community” event during the parade. The Hometown Holiday Committee, in partnership with Faith in Action, encourages you to bring a non-perishable food item (no glass please) to the Hometown Holiday Parade and donate it to Faith in Action volunteers. Students from Chelsea High School Clubs will be marching in the parade and ready to collect your much-needed donations to add to the Faith in Action float all along the parade route. Items especially needed are: canned meats, boxed baking mixes, laundry soap, and hygiene products.
