Santa’s Neighborhood Drive-Thru
Throughout December, the City of Chelsea will be decked in holiday splendor to warm the hearts of our residents and visitors and to put us in the holiday spirit.
This year Chelsea Festivals & Events, and Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce have re-imagined events to follow safe social distancing measures.

THURSDAYS Dec. 3, 10, 17
The Chelsea Area Fire Department will escort Santa through City of Chelsea neighborhoods , wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Chelsea residents will be able to wave to Santa from their homes, driveways, or parked vehicles.
Be Merry & Safe
- We recommend waving from a window in your home or vehicle
- When outside, please wear a mask
- Keep safe-social distances of 6-feet
- Please do not stand or play in the streets
- Visit State of Michigan for COVID-19 guidelines and resources

Letters to Santa
Centrally located in Palmer Commons on Main Street, children are welcome to mail their Christmas wish list direct to Santa. To receive a return letter, parents need to include an envelope complete with their mailing address and place in box before Dec. 15th.
Giving Back to Our Community
The Hometown Holiday Committee encourages everyone to donate a new, unwrapped toy for "Toys for Tots & Teens" in Chelsea. These gifts will be distributed by Faith In Action to Chelsea area families in need.
