First and foremost, we hope you and your families are staying healthy and well during this incredibly challenging and unprecedented time. Like all of you, our non-profit organization, Chelsea Area Festivals and Events(CAFE), is wrestling with tough decisions as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold. While there are no easy answers, there are lots of opportunities for sound judgment rooted in shared values and a strong community.

We hear a common thread from businesses, artists, performers, and musicians. All are urgently concerned about safely serving our community in a moment of need while ensuring the wellbeing and economic future of the people who are at the heart of what we do.

As the civil authorities provide new developments and information, our board members and committees are making decisions and plans regarding CAFE to provide a safe experience for everyone.

We are determining the best next steps for Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights summer concert series and the Sounds & SIghts Festival, and plan to announce further decisions mid to late April.

At this moment, we continue to plan while also looking at contingencies, to not only share great music and visual arts but because we believe this is vitally important to the livelihood and wellbeing of our community.

Information is changing rapidly. We will share updates as quickly as possible on social media. Please take a moment to like andfollow @ChelseaFestivals on Facebook, because this is where information will be shared.

We will be working with our partners to finalize the details about our plans in the coming weeks. Until then, stay safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Craig Common
