CAFE Grants for the Arts
The CAFE Grants for the Arts are being offered to support the mission of Chelsea Area Festivals and Events (CAFE) to enrich Chelsea and the surrounding communities, by promoting the presentation of and participation in quality performing and visual arts.
CAFE Grants for the Arts will provide one-time, unrestricted grants of $1,000 each to five artists to help continue the artistic and creative efforts that make performing and visual arts such a vital part of our community. The recipients of the grants will be announced in September 2020.

Performance dates and times
Sounds & Sights on Thursday nights performance series runs Thursday evenings in June, July and August (with some exceptions for holidays) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Click to see performance schedule and locations.
When to arrive
On the evening of your performance, please report to The Common Grill, 112 S. Main Street, 45 minutes prior to the performance for final stage assignments and directions to your performance location. You are expected to be in place and ready to perform by 6:30 pm.
Where to park
Performers can park at any available space in nearby streets public parking. See the Stage and Performance map, which also includes parking locations.
What to wear
We do not have an official dress code, but ask that all members of your group be fully clothed (shoes are optional). We also ask that your clothing not have messages or graphics that could be deemed insensitive, provocative, or offensive.
Content and courtesy
Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights is a family-friendly event with a large and diverse audience of all ages. All performers are expected to act and perform in a manner which would also be considered family-friendly.
We ask that performers be courteous to their fellow musicians and their audiences by maintaining a reasonable volume level in these outdoor stages.
If for any reason you need to cancel, please contact Bridget Favre at [email protected] or 734-474-9178 as soon as possible so we can try to fill your spot. If we do not hear from you, and you do not show up for your scheduled appearance, we may re-book another act for any future dates you may have scheduled with us.
Cancellation due to weather
Questions regarding the potential cancellation of an evening's event due to severe weather should be directed to The Common Grill at (734) 475-0470. It is up to the performer to call to find out if the event has been canceled.
